LET’S GET STARTED
A clearer next step starts here.
We’ll help you connect the reader and understand what your vehicle reports.
FIND YOUR PORT
A quick guide before you connect.
Read the steps instead
- Park safely, apply the parking brake and start with the engine off.
- Look under the driver’s dashboard near the steering column.
- Find the trapezoid-shaped port with two rows of eight contacts.
- If covered, consult your owner’s manual. Don’t force trim.
- Match the shapes and plug in gently.
- Turn ignition ON, engine OFF. Use your vehicle’s ignition ON procedure, not just accessory mode.
- Allow the scanner to start, then follow the page instructions to connect your phone.
PLUG IN & CONNECT
Connect the reader to your vehicle.
Insert the OBD-II adapter gently. Turn the ignition ON, but leave the engine OFF.
Key ignition: turn to ON / II without starting the engine. Push-button start: without pressing the brake or clutch, use your vehicle’s procedure to enter ignition ON mode—not just accessory mode. Check the owner’s manual if unsure.
Once the adapter is plugged in, start the 30-second wait below.
